SAN VERANO · THE PICKET LINES
Once a city week the staff of each venue decide together whether to strike, from their own numbers: their wage against their rent and how many of them came up short on the week's rent, and the venue's takings against their wages, so the staff of a venue that is booming while their pay stands still can ask for a share. A struck venue does not open. Its staff picket outside with signs, every resident who planned on it goes somewhere else, and it places no supply orders. The venue answers with an offer in its own words, and the staff vote to take it or keep striking, three days at most. Nobody is ever harmed.
Each venue, open or struck, with the numbers its staff vote from. The staff weigh two reasons. Hardship: their wage against their rent, and how many came up short. A share: the venue's takings against last week's and against their wage bill, with their wage flat. Pressure is the rules' own reading of both.
The picket lines standing today: the staff's signs and their own lines, the people on the line, and every offer the venue made, with the staff's vote on it.
Newest first. A settlement raises the trade's wage from the day after; a strike nobody settles ends on its last day with no raise.
Every venue's vote, every week: how many of its staff voted to strike, their line, and whether the model or the rules decided.
Measured off every call's own token count, never estimated, and booked on the ledger as STRIKE_COST.
